Welcome to a corner of the web where it’s OK not to be religious.

Belief is a personal thing, so I don’t support state-sponsored or mass religious indoctrination.

My belief is that people should have a choice in what they believe in, and that means allowing humans to grow up without indoctrination until a certain age, where their minds are able to apply independent, critical thinking, and reach their own conclusions.

So, in short, children should not be brought up as religious, but as irreligious, and have the ability to make their own choices, before the mindsets, social, and even physical shackles are forced upon them.

We should all be free. Free to think, free to choose, and free to believe or not believe. But we should not be pressured or unduly influenced into believing one thing or another.

What we should be is good human beings. We should be kind, caring, sharing, respectful, and progressive. Arguing that we should respect all religions is certainly part of that way of life, however, when religion has a foothold in the human psyche, it’s early entrenchment is an impediment to true freedom.

So fill your boots with heathenism, even if they call you filthy – because that’s what I am and I’m proud to be and be called – a filthy heathen!

Long live filthy heathens!
